The Xiaomi AX3600 router is now available to order from multiple retailers, and for under US$100. The router offers Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, MU-MIMO and an AIoT smart antenna, among other features.
Xiaomi has yet to bring the Mi AIoT Router AX3600, or AX3600 for short, to its eCommerce platforms, but the router is available to purchase from multiple third-party retailers. Xiaomi has designed the AX3600 to offer high performance at an affordable price. While many Wi-Fi 6 routers retail for hundreds of dollars, the AX3600 can be picked up from AliExpress for under US$100. Similarly, other retailers like Banggood, Gearbest and Geekbuying sell the router for US$129.99, US$139.99 and US$159.99, respectively.
The AX3600 has a quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 CPU, along with 512 MB of memory for maintaining connections with up to 248 devices and a dual-core NPU. Theoretically, the router can transmit at up to 2,976 Mbps and has a 6-channel external high-performance signal amplifier for providing optimal coverage. MU-MIMO is also supported, as is OFDMA, which should minimise latency when multiple devices are connected at once.
Xiaomi has incorporated an AIoT smart antenna too, which allows for easy connection with Mi smart devices through the Mi Home app. According to the manufacturer, the AX3600 supports mesh networking also, although this will be enabled through an over-the-air (OTA) update. The full specifications of the Mi AIoT Router AX3600 can be read here.
